Cut 'n' Spray

Independent Arts festival

The show was pretty good overall, shame about the location, didn’t strike me as a place which had a good scene.

The show itself turned out to be well planned, and there were no organizational issues that came down to us, so it was all cool. The venue itself was inside a school complex, purpose built and very nice, lucky bastards.

The show itself was extremely wide ranging and had performance artists, musicians, poets and various other freaks of nature. The other writers “mostly a loose term here” were ok people I guess but there was no real cohesion between the group and it showed, we had a nice wall to paint, loads of free paint, license to do what we wanted. Instead of planning out a fat piece that would rock balls everyone just scribbled over the walls like they had never seen a blank wall and a spray can before, I swear!

Some real nice pieces were painted but sadly most weren’t of a high standard and the wall quickly became a huge mess.Still, I got some nice photos of the good pieces (and there were a few), my display looked good, Belgium was nice and the beer was cheap. All in all a good show, just could have had more open minded people
